Helping Teens Build Emotional Resilience (Ages 13-17)

_edited.png)
At Minds That Thrive, we provide individual therapy for autistic teens aged 13–17 who may be finding it difficult to manage big feelings, cope with daily stressors, or navigate social and emotional challenges.

Grounded in neuroscience and informed by a blend of evidence-based approaches — including CBT, DBT skills, and narrative therapy — we explore strategies and practical and evidence based tools to help your teen build emotional understanding, develop coping skills, and truly thrive.

Sessions are delivered virtually, offering a safe, familiar, and flexible space for your teen to feel supported. Each session lasts 50 minutes and can take place weekly or fortnightly, depending on your teen’s needs. Sessions usually run for 8 - 10 weeks.

Importantly, therapy sessions can be personalised and adapted for your child. This could encompass the use of visual materials, taking a slower pace, and being mindful of their communication style and sensory needs.

Cost: £85 per session
Format: Virtual
Number of sessions: 8-10

"Before having my therapy sessions, I used to get really anxious and didn’t know how to calm down. The sessions helped me understand my feelings better and gave me simple ways to manage them. I especially liked learning about thinking traps and seeing myself and the challenges I have been through in a more positive way.. Now I feel more confident about handling things that used to worry me."
