About Minds That Thrive

Our story, our values, our mission

Throughout my career I have continued to see the same heart-breaking pattern. Families often feel relieved to finally get a diagnosis for their child – but then they experience silence. No personalised advice, no autism-specific support, no one helping them answer the big questions: what does it mean for my child to be different? how can we protect our child’s self-esteem and mental health through school struggles or friendship difficulties? Parents were left asking, what next? – often feeling anxious and alone and facing huge waiting lists for support. As they get older, young people themselves often struggle to get access to therapeutic interventions to support their emotional wellbeing and resilience. Evidence based interventions such as CBT or guided self-help are often not available, and yet we know that early intervention can stop mental health problems from developing.

Minds That Thrive was born out of my passion to change this — to try and offer gold-standard, timely, evidence-based support that helps children and families feel understood and to find a way forward. We offer support to parents, young people and schools directly, to focus on emotional wellbeing and emotion regulation.

As a social enterprise, we  also reinvest 100% of our profits into free autism support for UK schools and into education and healthcare for children worldwide. We’re proud to be creating a business that puts children first and believe that the future should belong to organisations that give back and reinvest in communities, ensuring that success is measured by the difference made, not simply the profit earned.
